Write the book, with help.
There is a book here. What is holding it back is one of three things: time, structure, or the writing itself. Each has a different fix, and the cheapest one that solves your actual gap is the right one.
What your answers say
Three kinds of help, from smallest to biggest
Prices are Scribe's published prices from scribemedia.com/pricing. Freelance book coaches and editors are a real alternative too; whoever you hire, ask for the same things listed here.
Already have a full draft? Scribe's Manuscript Evaluation ($2,000) has an editor read the whole manuscript and write you a letter on where it stands.
How to choose without wasting money
-
Name the gap honestly
If you cannot say what the book is about in two sentences, the gap is the idea: start small. If you know the book but never sit down to write it, the gap is structure. If you dread writing, the gap is the writing, and a ghostwriter is the fix.

Questions about this result
What is the difference between a book coach and a ghostwriter?
A book coach helps you shape and write the book yourself: they give you structure, deadlines and feedback, and every word is yours. A ghostwriter interviews you and writes the book in your voice, and you review and approve the drafts. Coaching costs less money and more of your time.
Can I get help with just the idea and the outline?
Yes. That is what Scribe Compass is for: one-on-one work with a book coach over 4 to 6 weeks that produces your North Star, a professional table of contents and a chapter-by-chapter roadmap, for $5,000. If you go on to Scribe Professional or Elite, the full $5,000 is applied to it.
How much of my time does a ghostwriter need?
At Scribe, Professional authors spend about 2 to 4 hours a week, 60 to 100 hours in total, mostly in interviews and reviewing drafts. That is less than writing it yourself, but it is not zero.
Will a ghostwritten book sound like me?
It should. In an interview-based process the book is built from your own words, stories and opinions, and you approve every draft. Read write it yourself or hire a ghostwriter for how to judge this before you sign anything.
